Mayors of Ufa and the Canadian St.Albert have agreed on cooperation
The head of Ufa administration Irek Yalalov and the mayor of Canadian St. Albert Mayor Nolan Crouse discussed cooperation prospects of two cities. Mister Crouse arrived in Ufa to support the Canadian national team, participating at the World Junior Ice-Hockey Championship, the capital administration informs.
The video presentation of Ufa in English was presented to attention of the foreign visitor. Irek Yalalov told about Salavat Yulaev hockey club, about the VI Winter International Children's Games-2013 where two Canadian cities will take part also. Nolan Crouse expressed an interest in participation of the St.-Albert city in the children's competitions.
Nolan Crouse shared his impressions connected with arrival to the capital of Bashkortostan. The visitor from Canada with enthusiasm spoke about "Ufa-Arena" Universal Sports Centre. He sent photos of the Arena by e-mail to his family, and during the match add them on the Twitter.
Nolan Crouse marked that all large cities of the world had one common problem – traffic jams.
“Unlike our city, you have very wide streets and sidewalks. In St.Albert, unfortunately, they are much narrower,” Nolan Crouse underlined.
Throughout the conversation Irek Yalalov told about the economy of Ufa, oil refining, petrochemical industry. Also the head of the city administration acquainted the foreign visitor with Ufa brands, informed about external economic relations of Bashkortostan capital.
Irek Yalalov and Nolan Crouse expressed their interest in development of mutual relations between Ufa and St.Albert. Mister Crouse informed that he headed the council of mayors of Canadian cities consisting of 24 cities. Today the council is interested in search for new development directions. Prospects of cultural, sports exchange, cooperation in the field of tourism were discussed at the meeting.
