Rustem Khamitov has taken part in the meeting re demographic policy and modernization of health protection
On February 15 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has taken part in the meeting, devoted to demographic policy of Russia and to regional programs for modernization of health protection, held by the Chairman of the Government of Russia Vladimir Putin, in the town of Nabereznye Chelny. Problems of birth rate, measures for reduction of death rater and the tasks for modernization of health protection sphere in 2012 were under discussion.
The Concept of demographic policy till 2025 is approved in Bashkortostan. Demographic situation in the Republic is becoming better and birth rate (13,7 per 1000 people in 2011) exceeds death rate (13,4 per 1000). Stable natality is registered in the Republic.
15,5 billion rubles is planned to spend for realization of the Republican health protection modernization program in 2011-2012. About a half of this sum has been financed in 2011.
The shortage of specialists is one of the main problems in the health protection system RB. Rural regions are short of 1280 medics. This situation can be improved after the project “Provincial Doctor” starts in the country. In accordance with this program young doctors, going to work in the countryside, will receive one-time subsidy at the rate of 1 million rubles from the federal exchequer. Bashkir budget will pay other 100 thousand rubles to every young medic according to the regional program for support of young specialists and 215 specialists from Bashkortostan have already confirmed their participation in the program.
In the course of the meeting Vladimir Putin has instructed regional governors to solve the problem of shortage of places in kindergartens in the nearest four years, taking local demographic situation into account, the public affairs service of the President RB reports.
