The visit of the Bashkir business delegation to Latvia is over. The main visit's program for the representatives of the all-Russian organization “The Support of Russia”, headed by the chief of this organization's regional division Denis Musin, was devoted to making contacts with Latvian business circles. Within the frames of this program Bashkir businessmen have paid a visit to the town of Elgava.

After the acquaintance with the places of interest in Elgava the Bashkir delegation has visited four big enterprises in the town: the plant of plastic pipes “EVOPIPES”, the biggest in the Baltic zone plant for production of ceramic wares “LATVIJAS KERAMIKA”, the motor-car plant “AMO-PLANT” and the factory for production of wooden cottages “ZTC”. The directions of possible cooperation were outlined at the meeting with the leadership of these enterprises.

After that the delegation RB has met the Mayor of Elgava Andris Ravinsh and the representatives of the local Duma.

The Mayor told the guests about work structure of the town executive and legislative power, demonstrated them the certificates, obtained by the local self-government bodies, and shared the plans for development of the town. The strategic development of the town anticipates the movement towards competitive and science-intensive economics, thereby providing for high level of life and for the opportunities for the rise of local prosperity. At present time Elgava represents a town with dynamically developing economics and high level of culture and education.
