Ufa made favorable conditions for business according to VSIOM


The “round table”, which has taken place on October 13 in the news agency “Bashinform” with the assistance of the Fund “National Initiative”, was devoted to actual problems of small business.

For this discussion the results of the all-Russian sociological questioning concerning the present state of small business in the country, conducted by the all-Russian Center for public opinion investigation (VSIOM) with the assistance of the bank “URALSIB”, were presented to journalists and experts.

The VSIOM questioning was made in 15 Russian regions and Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Nizhniy Novgorod, Omsk, Izhevsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnodar and other cities were included in the list together with Ufa. 1800 representatives of small business, including owners and directors of the companies, making financial decisions, took part in the poll. The companies belonged to one of three groups: trade (50%) and industry and services (25% each) with different annual circulation.

In Ufa the results of the questioning were the following: small business in the capital RB has already formed its own history, 61% o the interrogated already possessed more than 6-year business experience and 19% started business activity in Ufa for the last three years.

The majority of Ufa businessmen called the desire to work for themselves as the main motive to start their own business. Every second wanted to earn more. 13% of businessmen called the conditions for business in Ufa quite favorable. This is one of the highest showings in Russia – in many other cities it failed to reach even 6%.

86% of business people in Ufa reported in 2011 the state of their business remained stable or improved – this showing is also higher than in Russia on average. 56% expect that their financial positions will become better.
