Russian Ministry of agriculture signs agreement concerning sales of fodder grain with Bashkortostan
The Ministry of agriculture of Russia has signed the agreements concerning fodder grain sales with 16 Russian regions, including Bashkortostan. Similar contracts with other Russian regions will be signed in the nearest future.
In accordance with the agreements the Ministry sends the information concerning the available volumes of the fodder grain, sold out at fixed prices, and after that the regions have to make the lists of local grain purchasers. The purchasers will sign the sales contracts with the United Grain Company. According to the Decree of the Government RF the grain has to be paid for during 20 days from the moment of signing the contract with the United Grain Company.
Bashkiria figures on obtaining about 80 thousand tons of fodder grain at reduced prices, as the Ministry of agriculture RB reports, and not only big cattle-breeding and poultry farms but ordinary agricultural producers may acquire this grain at fixed prices.
It should be reminded that the decision concerning distribution of fodder grain at reduced prices is made by the Government of Russia and it intends to sell the whole volume of fodder grain from the reserves of the intervention fund – 2 million 387 thousand tons – according to this scheme.
The grain interventions of the Russian Government are aimed at the support of the agricultural complex and at stabilization of the food market and the regions in their turn have to keep control over the use of the acquired grain and undertake all measures for stabilization of the food prices in the local markets.
