Rustem Khamitov: “We have to find the mechanisms for advancement of innovational ideas to production sphere”

The widened meeting of the Council for scientific-technical and innovational policy under the Government RB has taken place in Ufa and the President RB took part in its work as the chairman of the Council. According to him the priority in direction of the innovational policy has to be thoroughly discussed.

“From technological point of view our country is standing more and more behind the developed countries” – the President RB said – “We have the potential, we have the ideas but these ideas have an occasional character. We are surrounded by the goods, made in foreign countries. We have all conditions for innovational environment but the innovations are either absent or they are present but their number is too low for mass production. We have to understand the roots of this problem. This work is to be continued and there is no other way. We have to find the mechanisms for advancement of our innovational ideas to production sphere”.

Besides, Rustem Khamitov marked the role of youth in development of the innovational policy.

“Our youth has one advantage. They don’t afraid of experimenting, adding novelties to their arsenal. This is a powerful potential but for today it isn’t practically used”.

As for the decisions for development of innovational activity in Bashkortostan, in opinion of the Minister of industry and innovational policy RB Robert Vagapov the Republic needs a law about technological forecasting.

“We have to re-orient Republican and federal scientific-technical programs in accordance with the chosen priorities” – he said – “and besides we have to start forming the infrastructure for development of these priorities and critical technologies”.
