Cooperation agreement between Bashkortostan and Tatarstan is signed in Ufa


The cooperation agreement between Bashkortostan and Tatarstan is signed in Ufa today and the matter is trade-economical, social, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation between two our republics.

The document was signed in the Hose of the Government RB by the President RB Rustem Khamitov and by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minikhanov. Besides, the plan of actions on development of cooperation in the abovementioned areas and meant for five years was signed too. ”I’d like to say many thanks to the delegation of Tatarstan for the arrival in our Republic” – Rustem Khamitov said – “You are our long-awaited guests and dear neighbors. We have much in common – language, culture and traditions and we have much to talk about. We still fail to realize the whole potential of ours as well as not all our joint projects. It is clear we have joint future and joint interests as well as the same aims: good work for people, good wages and comfortable flats. We are the leading industrial regions of the country and if we manage to unite our efforts, we will be unrivalled in Russian Federation” – the President of Bashkiria stated.

According to M-r Khamitov cooperation in oil-chemical, machine building and transport branches can be interesting for both republics.

“Development of the Volga industrial cluster is the key to our success” – the President RB believes. He has also marked the importance of interaction in such spheres as education, science, culture and social tourism.

“We have more than enough common grounds” – Rustem Khamitov stated – “We have to increase the trade circulation between our Republics, which has lately dropped by 20%, at least two times. We have to develop cultural exchanges too because there are no other nations, standing closer as we stay!”
