Ufa intends to build one million square meters of housing every year
Ufa intends to increase the annual housing construction volume up to one million square meters by 2020, the head of Ufa administration Paul Kachkaev reported today. In his opinion these plans correspond to the general course towards the rise of the housing construction rates in the Republic, outlined by the President RB Rustem Khamitov.
“But one thing is to erect housing and another thing is to sell it” – Paul Kachkaev said – And we will be able to sell it well only if the hypothec programs start working efficiently. For many people hypothec is the only chance to acquire a dwelling and now this market faces serious recession. Only 280 flats have been acquired in the city by the social hypothec program in 2010. Before the crisis this index was at the level of 500 flats every year, besides, people bought about 2,5 thousand flats by the ordinary (non-social) hypothec crediting annually”.
