Bashkortostan will participate in the international educational program “Life Link”

The delegation of the Republican Committee for UNESCO Affairs has visited Scandinavian countries in July 19-28 within the frames of the international project “Bashkortostan and the modern world”. Signing of the cooperation agreement with the international public organization “Life Link” has become an important outcome of the trip.

The international project “Life Link Friendship Schools” is called to unite the pupils of the whole planet and the main philosophy of the organization is based on three postulates: “The care of yourself”, “The care of the associates” and “The care of the nature” and has nothing to do either with politics or religion. Within the frames of the program young people from more than 60 countries actively take part in the projects, vitally important nowadays (for example, “Environment”, “Human rights”, “Conflict resolution and constructive cooperation” etc). The organization’s emblem – the rose leaf – symbolizes life in its endless variety.

It is necessary to say that during the meeting with the activists of “Life Link” the members of the Bashkortostan’s group have held the presentation of Republic of Bashkortostan. They told about national “brands” of the region: Bashkir wild honey, the nature monument “Shulgan-Tash”, the unique Bashkir language and the national epos “Ural-Batyr”. They invited their Swedish colleagues to visit our Republic in autumn and jointly organize the pupils’ exchange.

The international action “Bashkortostan and modern world” is realized with the assistance of the Russian Commission for UNESCO Affairs within the frames of the International Year of dialogue and intimacy of the world cultures, the Teacher Year in Russian Federation and the Year of Republic of Bashkortostan.
