Dmitry Medevedev accepted resignation of Murtaza Rakhimov
The President of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev received the President of Republic of Bashkortostan Murtaza Rakhimov in his residence in Sochi on July 15, 2010. During the meeting the President of Russia accepted the resignation of the President RB.
The head of the state expressed his thankfulness to Murtaza Rakhimov for his work on the post of President RB and for his high personal endowment to the social-economic development of the Republic and development of the federative relations.
“Bashkortostan was developing for rather long period of time under your guidance. Now this is a well-developed Republic with high level of life — one of the subjects of Russian Federation" — Dmitry Medvedev said.
According to the President of Russia Murtaza Rakhimov guided Bashkortostan during very hard years. “Now everything is normal, even in spite of the crisis But it was really very hard in 90s” – the President of Russia mentioned. According to him the main merit of Murtaza Rakhimov is that the Republican leadership managed to avoid the most crucial scenarios.
The President of Russia expressed hope that Murtaza Rakhimov will further serve its Republic and the Russian Federation as well.
Murtaza Rakhimov answered it was not just his merit in Bashkortostan’s prosperity but of the federal authority too thanks to its timely support, including 90s. Murtaza Rakhimov reported that after his resignation he intended to continue necessarily rendering assistance to the Republic.
Dmitry Medevedev announced he had signed the decree about rewarding of Murtaza Rakhimov with the highest order of Russia — "For the merits before the Fatherland" of the first degree.
In accordance with the decree of the President RF Rustem Khamitov is appointed the interim officer. To present day Rustem Khamitov was the deputy President of the JSC “RUSHYDRO”.
