“Bashinform” is partaking in the meeting of Turk-speaking news agencies in Ankara
The meeting of the members of the Union of Turk-speaking news agencies (TKA) is held in the capital of Turkey – Ankara. The heads of the news agencies, included into this Union, are taking part in its work: “Anatolian Agency” (Turkey), “AZERTAJ” (Azerbaijan), “KABAR” (Kyrgyzstan), TAK (Northern Cyprus), “Bashinform” (Bashkortostan), “Tatar-Inform” (Tatarstan) and “Crimean news” (Crimea, Ukraine). The General Director of the news agency “Bashinform” Unir Aznabaev is taking part in the meeting from the Bashkir news agency.
The main directions of the meeting are: the usage of modern IT in work of the news agencies, widening of cooperation, deepening of coordination of joint activity and strengthening of the information exchange.
The participants of the meeting have visited the Turkish news agency “Anadolu”. Further they’ve taken part in the reception, made by the General Director of the Press and Information Head Dept under the Government of Turkish Republic Murat Karakay. In the Press and Information Head Dept the participants of the meeting have become acquainted with work of the local service for monitoring of foreign TV-channels. It is agreed to hold the next meeting in November 2010 in Istanbul.
Today the meeting is devoted to work in the sphere of IT and to acquaintance with “Anadolu” photo- and video-service. The news agency “Anadolu” is considered the main and the largest news agency in Turkey and in 2010 it celebrates its 90th anniversary. The agency was opened in 1920 and its opening was initiated by the founder of Turkish Republic Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. At present time the agency possesses 14 regional offices and 30 bureaus all over Turkey plus 20 foreign offices beyond the country.
