The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev rewarded the Supreme Mufti of the country Talgat Tadjuddin with the Order of Honor in Kremlin today.

The list of the recipients includes the ex-governor of Sverdlovsk region Edward Rossel, artists Michael Boyarsky and Roman Viktuk, the Director of “The Hermitage” Michael Piotrovsky, the head of Kaluga eparchy Metropolitan Clement and other well-known representatives of sciences, culture, art and business.

The Supreme Mufti came out for fruitful dialogue between religious leaders of different religious movements and for uniting of all Russian Muslims many times.

The merits of Talgat Tadjuddin have already been marked both by the state and by the representatives of the largest religious world trends more than once. Thus, at the beginning of October 2009 Talgat Tadjuddin has been rewarded with the Order of the Holy Prince Daniel of Moscow of the II degree at the III World Congress of the compatriots, living abroad. The Order was presented to him by the Patriarch of Moscow and Russia Cyril for his long-term work on consolidation of inter-religious dialogue in our country.
