President of Bashkortostan Murtaza Rakhimov has taken the floor at today’s meeting of the Council of the interregional association on economic interaction between Russian regions “Big Ural” in Yekaterinburg.
Murtaza Rakhimov said the economics of Bashkortostan as well as of the whole of Russia lived through very complicated period of its development. At the same time, in opinion of President RB, the accumulated economic potential and the structural reforms, made earlier, the undertaken measures on minimization of the crisis’s after-effects in economics and social sphere allowed Bashkir authority to lower this negative influence.
According to President RB the index of production in January-August 2009 made up 92,7% in spite of the crisis and this was the best result as compared with other Russian regions. The growth in building industry made up 3,5%. Low building actively develops itself too. By the end of the year 2 million 400 thousand square meters of housing will be put into exploitation, as President of Bashkortostan underscored.
In spite of the crisis the monetary incomes of the Republican population increased by 2,5% in January-July, as compared with the same period of time in 2008. This is also the best result among Russian regions in the staff of Volga federal district.
Situation with unemployment is found under strict control. Its level grew up insignificantly – from 1,5% to 1,95% of economically active population. The coefficient of intenseness in the local labor market reduced from 3,1 to 2 unemployed people per one vacancy.
According to President RB the real backing of some directions of economic activity and the key positions of social stability and food safety, basic for stable functioning of regional economics, has become an important direction of the anti-crisis activity.
“The interregional cooperation, set on the base of he long-term relations is the pledge of successful way out of the current situation. The Ural region was and remains one of the backbones of Russian economics and the solid base for further progress of Russia and realization of its powerful intellectual, production and staffing potential” – Murtaza Rakhimov stated.
