Bashkiria delegation is paying official visit to Kazakhstan
The delegation of Bashkortostan, led by the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, arrived on an official visit to Kazakhstan on September 27.
The delegation included Prime Minister of the Government RB Andrey Nazarov, First Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy Rustam Muratov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government Azat Badranov, Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, Minister of Industry, Energy and Innovation Alexander Sheldyaev, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activity Margarita Bolycheva, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan Timur Khakimov, General Director of the Bashkortostan Development Corporation Nail Gabbasov, as well as representatives of small and medium-sized businesses.
A meeting of the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will take place as part of the visit. The Head of Bashkortostan will also hold talks with Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbaev, as well as akim of West Kazakhstan region Gali Iskaliev.
According to the press service of the Head of Bashkortostan, on September 28, a presentation of the investment and economic potential of the republic will take place. On September 29, the grand opening of the Representative Office of the Congress Bureau of Bashkortostan will be held. Radiy Khabirov will meet with Bashkiria natives living and working in Kazakhstan at the end of the visit.
Kazakhstan ranks third with a share of 7.3 percent in the total volume of republican trade. In 2020, the foreign trade turnover between Bashkortostan and Kazakhstan amounted to $ 296.9 million.
Oil products and chemical products, herbicides, mineral fertilizers, soda ash and caustic soda, rubber, woodworking products, glass, rolled ferrous metals, building materials, oilfield equipment, transport equipment, and other products are among the products exported from Bashkortostan.
The main items of imports from Kazakhstan are rolled steel, raw materials for mineral fertilizers, equipment, flour, and cereal products.
Thirty enterprises with capital from Kazakhstan operate in the republic in commerce, agriculture, timber processing, trucking, tourism, construction and communications, software development, power distribution, dyestuffs, bricks, cement, and more areas.
In the 2021-2022 academic year, 739 Kazakh students study at the republican universities on exchange and internship programs.
