More than 1.129 million Bashkiria residents are vaccinated against COVID-19
In Bashkiria, out of 2.4 million people to be vaccinated against a new coronavirus infection, more than 1.129 million people jabbed both doses of the vaccine. Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Health of the Republic Maxim Zabelin, announced this at a Monday briefing session in the republican government.
According to him, about 1.675 million vaccine doses to prevent coronavirus infection have been received in the region so far.
“Vaccinations have been completed for more than 1.129 million people. about 1.244 million people jabbed the first dose, which is 75 percent of the vaccine received,” the Health Minister of Bashkiria stated. “Over the weekend, 15 thousand people were vaccinated from COVID-19 in the republic. The number of people over 60 years old who have already been vaccinated now reaches 305 thousand people in the region."
Vaccination of the population against COVID-19 is organized in 203 medical centers of the republic.
Regarding the vaccination rate, Bashkiria now ranks 15th in Russia, in terms of the rate of vaccine use — 24th place.
As for vaccination against influenza, almost 1,183 thousand such vaccines have been delivered to the republic by now. Four hundred forty-three thousand adults in Bashkiria have been vaccinated against flu, Maxim Zabelin concluded.
