Main artist of Bashkir Opera became Honored Artist of Bashkortostan
The chief artist of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater, Ivan Skladchikov, became an Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The art director of the theater Askar Abdrazakov told Bashinform about this.
Ivan Skladchikov is a contemporary Russian artist. Among his works are sets and costumes for the ballets Sleeping Beauty, La Bayadère for the Paris School of Dance and the Chatelet Theater, and the Beautiful M project for the Leningrad Center. He participated in the decoration of the closing ceremony of the FIFA Confederations Cup in St. Petersburg. He hit the top 5 artists of St. Petersburg, having created one of the best New Year's showcases in the city for the Au Pont Rouge department store. He held solo exhibitions of works more than once, including "People, Travels, Faces" at the Maximilian Voloshin National Cultural and Historical Center, "My Spain" at the A. A. Bakhrushin Theater Museum, "Nutcracker-Inferno" as part of the "Opera Yard" project, "Applied drawing" in the "Leningrad Center".
The operas "Attila" and "Don Quixote", the ballets "The Little Humpbacked Horse", "Neighbors" and "1418" were staged in Ufa with the decoration of Ivan Skladchikov. He was also involved in the design of the recently held VI World Folkloriada. Today the Don Quixote opera will be presented at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow.
