Bashkiria delegation took part in historical re-enactment festival in Lipetsk region
A delegation from Bashkortostan took part in the festival of military-historical re-enactment "Terbunsky Border. Hot Summer of 1942”, which took place in the Lipetsk region in the village of Ozerki, Terbunsky district.
The event was attended by about 30 military history clubs from nine regions of Russia and neighboring countries. The Bashkir delegation included members of the military-historical reconstruction club "Lyubizar" (headed by Ildar Shayakhmetov) and the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Bashkir horsemen, historians, and history lovers.
According to the World Kurultay of the Bashkirs, during the Great Patriotic War, about 27 thousand soldiers and officers of the Red Army died on the battlefields of the Terbunsky region. Near the village of Ozerki, many soldiers of the 112th Bashkavdivision were also killed. Last year, a bust of the Hero of Russia Minigali Shaimuratov, was installed here.
The festival of military-historical re-enactment was held in the region for the sixth time. It is noted that during the Great Patriotic War, the front line passed in the Terbunsky region. A large tank battle took place near Ozerki, which historians call "Malaya Prokhorovka".
The festival lasted two days. A field hospital, an exhibition of weapons and military equipment, and a stylized buffet worked for the guests. A fashion show of the 1940s and a festive concert, attended by representatives of the clubs, took place there.
