First batch of Sputnik Light vaccine will arrive in Bashkiria
As the Ministry of Health informed the Bashinform News Agency, 18 thousand doses of the vaccine will be delivered to Bashkiria.
Acting Deputy Head of the Epidemiological Surveillance Department of the Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the Republic of Bashkortostan Zulfiya Kamaeva at a briefing on vaccination of teachers noted that Sputnik V is effective against infection, so they need to get vaccinated against COVID-19 now, without waiting for the Sputnik Light vaccine.
More than 1 million 31 thousand 80 doses of coronavirus vaccines have arrived in Bashkiria, as of July 26, for the entire time of the pandemic.
873 thousand 140 people (84.6% of the received vaccines) were vaccinated with the first dose. 577 thousand 954 residents of the republic have fully completed vaccination (56 percent of the received vaccines; 66.2 percent of those who passed the first stage), the press service of the regional Ministry of Health reports.
803,736 people over 60 live in the republic. The number of those vaccinated over 60 years old by the first dose is 225 thousand 521 people (28%), the second dose — 179 thousand 393 people (22.3%).
There are 185 vaccination stations in Bashkiria, including mobile ones. 47 398 people had their first jab against COVID-19 in the above mobile stations, 27 573 people had their second jab there.
