USATU hit global ranking of best world universities for first timeна правах рекламы
The university took 701st position in the ranking of 1300 leading educational institutions in the world, prepared by the British company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
Ufa State Technical Aviation University (USATU) took the 25th line in the list of 48 Russian universities included in the ranking.
USATU became the only representative of Bashkortostan and received the highest category VH in terms of research activity.
M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University became the leader of Russia (78th place in the world). Following it, the highest positions were taken by St. Petersburg State University (242), Novosibirsk State University (246), and Tomsk State University (272).
The USATU was accompanied by the G.V. Plekhanov Russian Economic University and the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University LETI. Kazan National Research Technological University, Novosibirsk State Technical University, Perm, and Tyumen State Universities had considerably lower positions (801-850).
Note that QS has been publishing a ranking of the best universities in the world since 2004, evaluating educational institutions according to six criteria. Among them there are academic reputation (40% of the total score), faculty/student ratio (20%), citations per faculty (20%), employer reputation (10%), international student ratio (5%) and international faculty ratio (5%).
