Bashkortostan hit top ten leaders in terms of creative industries contribution to GRP: ASI
The contribution of the creative industries of Bashkortostan to the GRP is 4.5%. Such data are presented in the first Russian Atlas of Creative Industries, which was prepared by experts from the Center for Urban Competencies of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).
Moscow is in first place in the rating (18.5 percent), St. Petersburg is in second (12.6 percent). Bashkiria ranks ninth after Tomsk, Moscow, and Yaroslavl regions, ahead of Sevastopol.
According to ASI estimates, the total contribution of creative industries to the Russian economy is approximately 4.98% of GRP or more than 5.3 trillion rubles in physical terms.
Today, almost 748 thousand organizations are involved in the country's creative industries. Their annual revenue is on average over 10.7 trillion rubles or 4.21% of the total revenue of all organizations in the country.
Almost 5% of the employees of all Russian enterprises are employed in the creative industries.
The creative industries sector in Russia includes more than 30 different types of activities based on intellectual activity and copyright, such as design, architecture, cinema, television, animation, advertising, performing and visual arts, fashion, publishing, music, computer graphics, crafts, software, television, radio and more.
