Tamara Tansykkuzhina, seven-time world champion in international draughts, today became a knight of the Order of Friendship of Peoples. the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov presented her the award at a weekly briefing session in the government by. Radiy Khabirov recalled that the Bashkir athlete won the title under challenging conditions when the Russian flag was removed during the match, but despite the pressure, she showed her skills and defended the title of "draughts queen" of the world. In response, Tamara Tansykkuzhina thanked the Head of the Republic and the people of Bashkortostan for their support.
