13.6 thousand state-financed openings for students will be in Bashkiria in 2022/2023
In the 2022/2023 academic year, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia allocated 13.6 thousand state-financed openings for students to the republic's universities. This is 2338 more openings than a year earlier.
"We are trying to create all the opportunities for the children to receive a quality education in Bashkortostan. Moreover, it is great that even more young people will be able to study at the expense of the state — this will add competitiveness to our universities," the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, posted on his social media.
Bashkortostan received 7949 state-financed openings for undergraduate programs, 2737 for magistracy, 1790 for specialist's degree, 181 for postgraduate studies, 935 for residency, and 10 for postgraduate training.
Ufa State Petroleum Technological University has the largest number of state-financed openings (3087 excluding branches).
Bashkortostan State Medical University will be able to enroll 1853 state-financed students (+261 compared to the previous year), Akmullah Pedagogical University — 1770 (+79).
Radiy Khabirov expressed confidence that the target numbers for admission to universities of the republic would continue to grow in the future.
"When addressing the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed to additionally make 45,000 state-financed openings at universities in 2 years throughout the country, with at least 70 percent of them to be given to Russian regions. Moreover, I am also sure that the world-class Eurasian Research and Educational Center, which we are creating in Bashkortostan, will increase the prestige of our higher education and attract here talents from all over the country. We expect further growth of human capital, the emergence of highly qualified specialists, and, in general, the development of the republic," the Head of the Republic posted.
