Items of 19th century are being collected in Ufa for future Fyodor Chaliapin museum
In Ufa, they are looking for items of the 19th century for the future museum of Fyodor Chaliapin. Elena Zamriy, the chairman of the Ufa branch of the Interregional Chaliapin Center, addressed the city residents with such a request.
A museum needs a table, chairs, a mirror, a wall clock and pocket watch on a chain, a samovar, a chandelier, a gramophone, a flower stand, china, vases, a tablecloth, clothes, and similar items that characterize the life of a middle-income Ufa family. Please, contact the Chaliapin Center for details.
The future museum is planned to be located in the city's historical center, where the opera debut of the 17-year-old Chaliapin took place. Elena Petrovna told Bashinform that on the eve of the anniversary of the great Russian singer Fyodor Chaliapin (1873 — 1938), the issue of transferring one of the ancient buildings to the museum of the singer is being considered.
The existing items — pianos, cabinets, and large things are still kept in the building of the Children's Philharmonic Society; some items are exhibited in the Ufa City Museum.
