2nd International Urban Forum will be held in Ufa
On August 26 and 27, within the framework of the All-Russian Forum "Small Cities and Historical Settlements", Ufa will host the 2nd International Forum of Urban Studies "Territory of the Future. A Look from the Heart of Eurasia".
According to the press service of the government RB, the main topic this year will be "Accelerating Changes in Cities". It is also planned to discuss the transformation of the urban environment taking place in 2020-2021.
The forum will simultaneously discuss four global topics: Leading Territories, Cities and Talents, Change Management, Sustainable Development, and Tourism.
The event will be organized according to the new safety standards of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI). During the coronavirus pandemic, Bashkortostan confirmed its status as one of the leading regions of Russia and its leadership positions thanks to a systematic approach to urban and territorial development. This forum will most fully reflect the region's achievements, present the experience and expertise of the most effective projects for the improvement and development of cities throughout Russia, and advanced international cases.
Within the framework of the forum, experts announced the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation Irek Fayzullin, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov, Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Zarina Doguzova, Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation Alexey Kudrin, Chairman of the State Development Corporation VEB.RF Igor Shuvalov, General Director of JSC Dom.RF Vitaly Mutko, General Director of ASI Svetlana Chupsheva, head of the educational and scientific laboratory "Center for Studies of the Economics of Culture, Urban Development and Creative Industries" at the Faculty of Economics, M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Sergei Kapkov. The participation of foreign guests and speakers is also planned.
