Radiy Khabirov signed decree on annual holding of International Urban Forum in Ufa
The International Urban Forum “Territory of the Future. A Look from the Heart of Eurasia” will be held annually in Ufa. The decree was signed by the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov. As follows from the document, this year, at the suggestion of the Ministry of Construction,d Housing and Utilities of Russia, the forum will be held on August 26-27 in conjunction with the All-Russian Forum “Small Towns and Historical Settlements” Management of Change. Since 2022, the forum will be held on September 27.
The main topic this year will be “Accelerating Urban Changes”, the organizing committee informs. The forum is planned to discuss the transformation of the urban environment taking place in 2020-2021.
Among the forum experts are announced – the Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government Marat Khusnullin, Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation Irek Fayzullin, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov, head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova, chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation Alexei Kudrin, chairman of VEB. RF Igor Shuvalov, CEO of DOM. RF Vitaly Mutko, General Director of ASI Svetlana Chupsheva, Head of the Center for Urban Studies at the Faculty of Economics, Moscow State University, Sergey Kapkov. A separate section is planned with the mayors of European cities.
Famous presenters will be invited to work at the forum — Yana Churikova, Naila Asker-Zade. Hollywood stars (Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks), writers, economists, and scientists, including the developers of a domestic drug against coronavirus, are invited to Inspiring Talk.
The forum will simultaneously discuss four global topics: Leading Territories, Management of Changes, Cities and Talents, Sustainable Development, and Tourism.
