Ufa will host event dedicated to International Day for Liberation of Nazi Concentration Camp Prisoners
April 11 is the International Day for the Liberation of Nazi Concentration Camp Prisoners. 76 years ago this day, the Buchenwald concentration camp prisoners — unarmed, hungry, exhausted by backbreaking work and humiliation – raised a revolt and won.
In memory of this date, a meeting of the younger generation with veterans of the Great Patriotic War will occur in the Republican Museum of Military Glory. They will tell young people about the ordeals they endured and hardships suffered by the prisoners of concentration camps.
During the event, photographic documents will be shown, and songs and poems dedicated to the memorable date will sound. Candles will be lit in the hall in memory of the victims of the Nazi crimes, and a moment of silence will be announced.
