Covent Garden soloist Aigul Akhmetshina performed at her Ufa alma mater
A meet-the-artist event with Aigul Akhmetshina took place in Ufa. The youngest soloist of the famous Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, a guest soloist of various theaters around the world, winner of international competitions, Aigul Akhmetshina again performed on the stage of the Small Hall of her alma mater — the Ufa School of Arts.
Having luxurious coloratura mezzo-soprano Aigul Akhmetshina, together with accompanist Victoria Smolenkova, performed several arias and songs by Handel, Vivaldi, Donizetti, Gardel, and other authors.
In 2015, Aigul graduated from college, and in 2017 (the first singer from Bashkiria) she became the youngest intern in the youth program of the Royal Theater, Covent Garden in London. Since then, her life has changed, as in a fairy tale — invitations from world opera houses began to arrive.
Now Aigul Akhmetshina is 24 years old; she is young, talented, beautiful, and ambitious; her life is full of proposals and interesting plans. Today, Aigul flies to Moscow, where she starts rehearsals in Bizet's opera "Carmen", which will take place on the stage of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theater. Then the performance of our compatriot is planned in Perm, at the same opera.
On April 6, Aigul Akhmetshina's solo concert will take place in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, accompanied by the Moscow Virtuosi State Chamber Orchestra. The concert will be conducted by one of the most famous musicians in Russia and the world, Fabio Mastrangelo.
