HC Salavat Yulaev won eighth consecutive victory in KHL regular championship
The final away tour of the KHL regular championship for Salavat Yulaev began with a match against Dinamo Riga. The Latvian team takes the last place in the Western Conference. Moreover, the residents of Ufa came to the Baltic city with seven victories in a row.
Riga residents failed the match's starting period, having allowed the guests from Bashkortostan to excel twice. Sakari Manninen hit the net of Ivan Nalimov in the 8th minute. At the end of the twenty minutes, Pavel Koledov received a diagonal pass from Artem Pimenov and was accurate — 2: 0. Note that the defender gains goal points for the second game in a row.
After the first break, the Dinamo players were able to close the gap. Martins Dzierkals sent the puck behind the Ufa goalkeeper Daniil Tarasov after a rebound — 2: 1.
In the third game segment, Salavat Yulaev made the opponent make a mistake. Dmitry Kugryshev capitalized on the two-minute penalty. The forward scored his ninth goal of the season. The last time the Ufa team's striker scored in a home match against Avangard on January 5.
The ice hosts took a time-out 2.37 before the final siren and removed the goalkeeper. Nevertheless, they failed to cut the lead — 3: 1 and Salavat won the eighth victory in a row.
Tomi Lamsa's players will have the next match against Avangard Omsk in Balashikha on February 25.
