Volunteers of Culture Projects will be held in Bashkiria in 2021
Yesterday in Ufa, Lira Volkova, the regional coordinator of the "Volunteers of Culture" public movement of the Volunteer Centers Association in the Republic of Bashkortostan, delivered a report at an expanded meeting of the collegium of the Ministry of Culture RB. She spoke about the "Culture Volunteers" program and the volunteer movement activities in the republic.
In March, the forum "Terra Bashkiria — Territory of Cultural Volunteering" for Bashkortostan volunteers will take place within the framework of the Art-Kurultay. The events will be held offline for the heads of cultural centers, volunteers of culture, heads of local branches of the public movement "Volunteers of Culture". A live broadcast for cultural volunteers, public figures, and everyone who is interested in this area will accompany it. The participants will exchange best practices, discuss the development of volunteering in the field of culture and new joint formats of interaction.
The most anticipated event of this year is the World Folkloriada. There, cultural volunteers will be actively involved as translators, navigators, assistants in events.
For the first time this year, it is planned to hold a Heritage Volunteer School. This project will be organized jointly with the Bashkortostan branch of the All-Russian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments this summer. The Heritage Volunteer School offers lectures on cultural heritage and masterclasses on restoration and practice at cultural heritage sites.
The year will end with a 12-day International Volunteer Camp, which will be held offline for the first time in Ufa. There will be an opportunity to get acquainted with other countries and cultures, as well as spend some quality time. The International Volunteer Camp is a social project that lasts 2-3 weeks and occurs in almost any country in the world. In Russia, it was held in Moscow online last year.
