Radiy Khabirov: Eurasian REC will become development center for knowledge-driven economy
The world-class Eurasian Research and Educational Center will become the center for the knowledge-driven development, a real "startup factory". Already this year, joint programs with the Skoltech University for master's and postgraduates of the republic will begin. Regional "mega-grants" will be launched, the network of pre-universities will expand.
"By 2024, we will build a modern student campus and increase the number of foreign students to 10 thousand. Our REC will attract talents to the republic, strengthen partnerships with Russian and world companies. In the summer, we are launching the first stage of IQ-PARK, a high-tech technopark with a regional Skolkovo operator's status in Validi Street. It will be an effective platform for innovative business. Residents of the park will have access to Skolkovo resources, special preferences, and modern services," the head of the republic noted during the announcement of his annual Address.
Radiy Khabirov, thanking everyone who promoted REC projects, noted the scientists involved in the development of the Eurasian Research and Educational Center. Two of them are present in the Column Hall today. This is a young scientist, the leader of the project "New Generation Electrical Machines for Aviation", Doctor of Technical Sciences, Leading Researcher of USATU Vyacheslav Vavilov, and Head of the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University Engineering Center Dmitry Matveev. It should be noted that the engineering center project was included in the REC program and received a federal grant of 300 million rubles.
