Ufa native ballerina Sophia Valiullina became scholarship holder of Russian Children's Welfare Society
16-year-old ballerina, a native of Ufa, Sophia Valiullina, became a scholarship holder of the Russian Children's Welfare Society (USA). The other day she received an official letter with a certificate, according to which our talented compatriot receives a special scholarship until she turns 18.
The Russian Children Welfare Society is one of the world's oldest charitable organizations. Created in 1926 in the USA by immigrants from Russia, it continues to carry out its noble mission today, helping modern youth in Russia.
Sophia Valiullina was born in Ufa and has repeatedly become a laureate of international and All-Russian competitions in St. Petersburg, Ufa, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, and Kazan, was a holder of the Vladimir Spivakov Charitable Foundation scholarship.
Several years ago, Sophia moved to St. Petersburg and entered the A.Ya. Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet, now she is in her first year.
For half a year, Sophia has been studying with the legendary teacher, professor, honored art worker of the Russian Federation Lyudmila Kovaleva, who celebrated her 80th birthday in 2020 (teacher of famous ballerinas Diana Vishneva, Olga Smirnova, Maria Khoreva, and many others).
Sophia Valiullina is invited to participate in different projects related to ballet. Four years ago, Sophia became the heroine of the TV series, "And that's all — ballet" on the "Russia Today" channel. Recently, the ballerina starred in the video project "The Soul of Ballet" and became the ambassador of the ballet clothing brand Zidancewear.
