Working group for shipbuilding development was formed in Bashkiria
A working group for shipbuilding has been organized in the republic to increase efficiency and develop shipbuilding in Bashkiria. The order was signed by the Prime Minister of the government of the republic Andrei Nazarov.
The working group included: Minister of Economic Development Rustam Muratov, Minister of Transport and Roads Alan Marzayev, Head of the Belsk District of Waterways and Shipping Marat Aktuganov, Deputy Prime Minister Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, Minister of Land and Property Relations Natalya Polyanskaya, Minister of Industry Alexander Sheldyaev, Minister of Nature Management and Ecology Ural Iskandarov, director of the "Sluzhba Rechnyh Pereprav" (River Crossings Service) Sergei Sergeev and director of the ship repair and shipbuilding plant (SHZ) Igor Prishchepov.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that the Bashkiria government intends to restore tourist steamship routes. The revival plan also includes the infrastructure development of the city ports of Ufa and Agidel, restoration of the fleet, deepening of the bottom of the Belaya and Ufimka rivers, which are 495 kilometers long, as well as the development of inbound cruise tourism.
Besides, the republican authorities intend to revive river shipping, which remains in demand and profitable worldwide with its low cost, environmental friendliness, and the ability to transport goods along small rivers to hard-to-reach areas.
