Russian national biathlon team with two Ufa athletes won bronze at World Cup

The Russian national team won bronze in the men's relay at the World Cup in Anterselva, Sportbox reports. The team includes Matvey Eliseev, Alexander Loginov, Eduard Latypov, and Anton Babikov – the last two from Ufa.

After the stages of Anton Babikov and Matvey Eliseev, the Russian team was in the lead. Despite Loginov's one penalty loop in the third stage, the Russians still remained in the group of leaders.

The Russian team's finisher, Eduard Latypov, performed a clean prone, but he used additional rounds in the standing position. Latypov was stronger than the German Benedikt Doll at the finish line and won a bronze medal for the Russian team.

The race victory went to the French national team, which at the finish overtook the Norwegians through Emilien Jacqueline's efforts. The latter had Johannes Boe at the final stage.
