The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, made a post on his social media about a resident of the Ermekeyevsky district — Abuzar Khasanov, who turned 95 on December 24.

Our compatriot has been on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War since 1943, fought on the 3rd Ukrainian Front, participated in the battles near Voroshilovgrad and Dnepropetrovsk. He was wounded twice. He served in the air defense regiment No. 1880 in Baku, then in Voroshilov, where he celebrated Victory. Abuzar Khasanov returned home only in April 1948. Junior Sergeant Khasanov was awarded the Medal for Military Merit (1945), the Medal for Victory over Japan, the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st Degree, and commemorative medals.

"Two years ago (at the age of 93 !!!) Abuzar Khasanov became an Internet user and started to communicate with his relatives on social media. He sighs that there are few people of his age on social networks ... By the way, I sent a request for friendship to the veteran," Radiy Khabirov posted. "Dear Abuzar Khasanov and all veterans of the Great Patriotic War! Thank you for everything you did! We wish you the most important thing — health! We will always support and help you!"

The administration of the Ermekeyevsky district said that Abuzar Khasanov grew up in a large family. His parents had nine children. He himself, together with his wife, gave life to five children. Today Abuzar has 5 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He communicates with everyone by phone and through WhatsApp and his account on the Odnoklassniki social media.
