Russian President signed decree to celebrate 450th anniversary of Ufa
Russian President Vladimir Putin today signed a decree to celebrate the 450th anniversary of the founding of Ufa in 2024. The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, announced this on his social media. According to this document, within three months, an organizing committee will be formed to prepare and hold the celebrations, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Overchuk.
“Thus, the federal status is given to the almost half-millennium anniversary of our capital of the republic. This means that we will get a unique chance to transform Ufa, including through support from the federal center, modernize the city, breathe new life into it, and make it one of the main cities of the country. And therefore, on behalf of all Ufa residents, I express my deep gratitude to the President for the decision made,” Radiy Khabirov posted.
