Bashkortostan National Symphony Orchestra opens 2nd Winter Festival
The National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan will delight lovers of academic music with "live" concerts of the 2nd Winter Festival throughout December. Tomorrow, on December 1, the festival will open at the Concert Hall of the Ufa School of Arts with the immortal creation of P.I. Tchaikovsky — Symphony No. 1 "Winter Dreams".
Concerts of the 2nd Winter Festival will be held on December 1, 7, 9, 14, 21, 24, 28, and 30, this year, they all are to take place in the capital of the republic.
"Our chief conductor Dmitry Kryukov has compiled a comprehensive and creative program. Five violinists of the NSO will play five Mozart concerts with the team — this is an absolutely remarkable story", said Artur Naziullin, Director General of the NSO RB, Honored Artist of Bashkortostan. "There will be chamber concerts. I will also be lucky to perform at one of them. On December 7, in the Small Hall of the State Concert Hall, I will perform the Kegelshtat trio with my colleagues — Aigul Muratova and Dmitry Kryukov; we will also play the Mozart quintet."
The organizers said that on the eve of the festival, an agreement was reached with the Moscow pianist Lukas Geniushas. He will perform solo at a music concert of the French impressionists Debussy and Ravel in Ufa on December 9.
Throughout all the festival days, Dmitry Kryukov, chief conductor of the orchestra, conductor of the State Academic Symphony Capella of Russia and the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia, will be at the conductor's desk.
Recall that the 1st Winter Festival of the National Symphony Orchestra RB was held in December 2019. Six diverse concerts brought together soloists from different concert institutions and countries. Tchaikovsky's music was also performed at the opening of the 1st Winter Festival.
