Bashkiria will receive vaccine against COVID-19 in early December
The vaccine for COVID-19 will arrive in Bashkiria in early December, the Head of the Ministry of Health Maxim Zabelin said on Monday at a briefing session in the republican government.
"We are preparing to receive a vaccine against the new coronavirus infection. The necessary storage and cold chain locations for the Sputnik V vaccine have been prepared. The necessary instructions and work with this vaccine have been carried out," Zabelin stressed.
As reported by the Bashinform News Agency, since the beginning of the pandemic, 14,264 people fell ill with the coronavirus infection in Bashkiria.
"We need to prepare for the mass vaccination against COVID-19 slowly. The volumes are not yet clear, but these are not just a few, not tens — there will be thousands. At least we can vaccinate those at the forefront. Those who want it," said the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov.
According to him, a small batch of the coronavirus vaccine, which has already been used in the republic, has proven its effectiveness.
"People who have received the vaccine do not really get sick. The solution to all our problems lies largely in the vaccination against COVID-19," he concluded.
