Daniil Kvyat had terrible accident during Formula 1 race at Bahrain Grand Prix
The pilot of the "Alpha Tauri" team and a native of Ufa, Daniil Kvyat, had a serious accident at the Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix. On the first lap of the race, Haas driver Romain Grosjean caught Kvyat's car during a lane change and flew into the bump stop at speed. The car burst into flames. Fortunately, the racing driver managed to get out of the flames and get away with a few burns. However, the injured pilot spent the night in the hospital.
The race continued an hour later, and Kvyat again nearly got into an accident while overtaking. The Canadian driver Stroll did not notice the car of the Ufa native and, after the collision, rolled over. The referee team fined Kvyat 10 seconds.
"I am a little upset with this decision because it ruined my race. It is a pity because I had a good second start, I returned to the fight, but this penalty spoiled everything," said the Russian Formula 1 pilot.
As a result, Kvyat finished 11th. There are suggestions that this is the last season of the driver in Formula 1.
