Ufa was checked for readiness to host Volleyball World Championship
A commission headed by Vice-President of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation Mikhail Podlozny arrived in the capital of Bashkiria. Representatives of the Volleyball 2022 Organizing Committee checked Ufa for the city's readiness to host the Volleyball World Championship in two years.
"We visited the "Dynamo" sports complex and the "Ufa-Arena" ice palace, examined the city infrastructure and non-sports facilities — hotels, the airport, "said the Minister of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic Ruslan Khabibov. "There is a readiness; there is still work to be done. All comments that exist now will be eliminated by August 2021. It is our task to be 200% ready!"
Earlier it was reported that the timing of the 2022 World Cup in Ufa was not questioned, and the Russian stage of the Volleyball League of Nations from 2020 was postponed to 2021.
