Ten more helicopter pads for air ambulance will be built in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan, it is planned to build ten helipads for air ambulances.
The government of the republic has considered the development of air ambulance for the coming years. The regional authorities believe that the development of the air ambulance service will reduce mortality from acute diseases, injuries, and conditions and provide timely medical assistance in conditions of mass destruction and emergencies.
"Considering the natural and geographical features of the republic, it is often possible to get to the place of medical care only with the help of medical aviation. People's lives are often at stake, so this area is one of our priorities. Medical assistance should be available in the most remote parts of our republic," Prime Minister Andrei Nazarov said.
It is planned that the construction of helipads in the cities of Oktyabrsky, Sibay, Neftekamsk, Beloretsk, as well as in the Duvansky and Askinsky districts will reduce the time of delivery of patients from the most remote settlements to the nearest medical organization.
It is also expected that the location of helipads in Bashkortostan's border area will allow providing medical care to patients from the Chelyabinsk region's border areas.
In Ufa, two helipads have already been commissioned at the Republican Clinical Perinatal Center territory and the Clinic of Bashkir State Medical University. In September-October 2020, the republic's medical aviation performed 72 flights and evacuated 80 patients. It is planned that in 2021 there will be 84 such flights, the Ministry of Health RB reported.
