Putin announced "tax holidays" extension and moratorium on small businesses inspections

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the extension of the measures taken to support small and medium-sized businesses in connection with the pandemic. Entrepreneurs will have not only a moratorium on scheduled inspections for the entire next year but also an extended deferral of taxes and insurance payments — for another three months. He stated this today at the "Russia Calling!" forum in Crimea.

For small and medium-sized businesses in industries affected by the pandemic, deferrals were provided for taxes and insurance payments. "But not everyone managed to recover; problems still persist," Rossiyskaya Gazeta quoted the president as saying. "This is primarily catering, as well as other services," he said.

Putin also recalled the decision to extend the moratorium on scheduled inspections of small and medium-sized businesses for the whole of next year. Thus, the burden on tens of thousands of companies, which employ millions of citizens, is reduced, the head of state concluded.
