Bashkiria accepted applications from two companies to become anchor residents of Alga SEZ
The Expert Council of the "Alga" SEZ reviewed and accepted two companies' applications that may become anchor residents. The DoGa financial group plans to build a production facility based on several patented inventions to process residual hydrocarbon gases into aromatic hydrocarbons. These are the main feedstocks for petrochemicals — benzene, toluene-xylene fraction, and methane-containing gas. The company will also be able to generate additional electricity. The group invests more than 2 billion rubles and creates about 100 jobs. Construction is expected to begin in a few months. FG DoGa LLC was established in 2015 by Dmitry Dontsov and registered in the village of Naumovka, Sterlitamak District.
The Ishimbay company "ZUR", established in July 2020, will build a plant for LED lamps that can replace imported counterparts. The products are widely in demand for lighting roads, public spaces, and industrial facilities. The CEO and owner of the company is entrepreneur Rinat Zubaidullin, who last year set up a similar production facility in Sterlitamak. The businessman invests 300 million rubles in the project and creates 50 jobs.
As the republic government explained, agreements will be signed in a few days, after which they will be sent to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation for inclusion in the register of residents of special economic zones.
SEZ "Alga" was created on July 27, 2020, by a decree of the Russian Federation's government on the territory of Ishimbay and Sterlitamak regions, with a total area of 468 hectares. Four sites are planned for industry clusters. The first residents of the SEZ were the companies "Arkada" (production of work clothes) and "M Sintez" (additive for diesel fuels). A promising investment portfolio is estimated at 100 billion rubles with the creation of almost 4 thousand jobs.
