Four state programs are applied in Bashkiria to attract health care professionals

The authorities of Bashkiria continue to solve the shortage of medical personnel by offering doctors financial incentives. For this, four state programs are involved. As the Minister of Health RB Maksim Zabelin informed at a briefing in the government, the regional program includes a list of 18 most deficit specialties, for which a one-time payment of 1 million rubles was established (when taking a job in public hospitals or clinics). In 2020, 17 doctors received such subsidies, and it is planned to pay another 143 specialists.

Specialists are especially needed in rural areas. In the republic, payments for federal programs "Rural Doctor" have been increased by one and a half times — up to 1.5 million rubles, "Rural Paramedic " — up to 750 thousand rubles. These payments are intended for 90 doctors and nine paramedics working in remote and hard-to-reach villages.

Five doctors and one paramedic who work in urban-type settlements or small towns (with a population of up to 50 thousand people) will receive per 1 million rubles and 500 thousand rubles, respectively.

44 health care professionals will receive 500 thousand rubles each under the republican program "Rural Paramedic".

57 doctors received 1 million ruble compensation payments. It is planned to pay 121 doctors, 58 more applicants are under consideration.

The Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov recalled that funds for health care professionals were included in the 2021 budget, and suggested that a "Health Care Hour" session considers in detail the situation with medical personnel in the context of municipalities: "Since the end of 2018, we have purposefully implemented various support measures and by the end of 2019 ensured a positive trend in attracting doctors. However, also due to the coronavirus situation, now we have a certain shortage of specialists. We must continue our work on the implementation of programs."
