650 thousand trees were planted in republic during "Green Bashkiria" campaign
On the day of "Green Russia," more than 100 thousand residents of Bashkiria planted more than 650 thousand seedlings and trees, the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, reported on the results of the campaign on his social media.
"By the end of the year, residents and our forestry enterprises will plant 32 million trees in Bashkortostan. For the second year in a row, we have been planting more than we are cutting, and we are going 103 percent ahead of schedule. I would like to note that we plant not just trees in villages and cities, which is important in itself, but thematic alleys — "Alley of Heroes" and "Victory Forest" in honor of our heroic ancestors. Maxim Petryashov's Alley appeared in the Iglinsky district. An alley named after Dayan Murzin and an alley in honor of the Hero of the Soviet Union Talip Nurkaev are planted in Bakalinsky district. An alley named after Fazulian Akhmaletdinov is opened in the Kushnarenkovsky district. In Sibay, an alley was planted in the park named after Hero of the Soviet Union Fyodor Belov. It was agreed to plant large-sized trees in cities and villages — so that the trees please the residents immediately, and not in 5-10 years," the Head of Bashkiria posted.
