30th International Aksakov Holiday program is announced
Festive events will be held in Ufa and the municipalities of the republic during the 30th International Aksakov Holiday from September 25 to October 1. It is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the first Ufa governor Grigory Sergeevich Aksakov.
On September 25, a theatrical concert "Aksakov's fairy tales" will take place, an exhibition-fair of folk craftsmen will be organized in the village of Karmaskaly. Aksakov's lesson of honor will be held at 11.00 at the Ufa Command River School.
A folklore festival starts at 12.00 on the central square of the Zubovo village, Ufa region. The branch of the House of Friendship of the Peoples RB — the Russian Historical and Cultural Center "Krasny Yar" will hold an award ceremony for the laureates of the Republican Festival of Old Russian Song "We Were in Krasny Yar". The festival was held online from May 18 to 29. The event will feature performances of groups — laureates of the Old Russian Song Competition.
On September 26 at 11.00, the festive events will begin in the Aksakovsky historical and cultural center in the village of Nadezhdino, Belebeevsky district. A photo exhibition "Chronology of Aksakov's Holidays," with a unique chronicle of Aksakov's days in Bashkortostan, will be unfolded here. The first photographs are dated 1991 when the very first Aksakov Holiday took place. Also on display will be the exhibition "Grigory Sergeevich Aksakov — Governor of Three Russian Empires" provided by the Memorial House-Museum of S.T. Aksakov.
The Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater will show the magical ballet "The Scarlet Flower" by Vladimir Kuptsov based on the tale by Aksakov.
On September 30, at 11.00, the administration of the City Council of Ufa will organize an award ceremony for the winners of the Aksakov Prize.
On October 1, the traditional Aksakov lesson will be held at Aksakov gymnasium No. 11. In the Pushkin Alley near the Aksakovsky People's House (Opera and Ballet Theater), flowers will be laid at the monuments of S.T. Aksakov and A.S. Pushkin.
In the Memorial House-Museum of S.T. Aksakov's exhibitions will open: a traveling interregional exhibition "Grigory Aksakov — Governor of Three Russian Provinces", an exhibition of paintings by Russian artists "Aksakov's Places in Russia" from the funds of the S.T. Aksakov, the exhibition "War and Peace" by Anna Tyutcheva-Aksakova (on the occasion of her 190th birthday). There will be a presentation of the book "Aksakov about hunting. Memories and Observations of a Passionate Hunter"- a joint publication of the Memorial House-Museum of S.T. Aksakov and Eichelmändli publishing house (Switzerland).
Grigory Aksakov was the son of the famous Russian writer Sergei Aksakov, a native of Ufa. From June 1865 to January 1867, he headed the Ufa province. During Grigory Sergeevich's tenure in the city, the provincial museum, the city theater, and the Mariinsky women's gymnasium, known to the residents as gymnasium No. 3, were built.
