Rare mushroom was found in Bashkiria reserve
In Bashkiria, in the Shulgan-Tash nature reserve, for the first time in an extended period, a rare mushroom has been found — the Hedgehog mushroom or, scientifically, Н. coralloides. This was reported by the deputy director of the reserve, biologist Naila Sayfullina. The last time this representative of the Red Book was found in the territory of the reserve was in 1993.
“The mushrooms were found in a broad-leaved forest on a mossy, lying oak trunk. A few days later, I thought to find them already decomposed, as is usually the case, but the Hedgehog mushroom became even more magnificent: the fruiting bodies almost merged. Such encountering with a thing of beauty is kept in memory for a long time,” said the biologist.
