World's fourth human rights stele is unveiled in Ufa

Ufa became the fourth city in the world to have a stele dedicated to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The new art object appeared at the intersection of Mustai Karim and Kommunisticheskaya Streets, not far from Gostiny Dvor shopping mall.

The event took place within the framework of the "City of Rights" Human Rights and Civil Initiatives Festival held in Ufa.

According to the organizers of the forum, the stele was designed in the Ufa studio of the architect Dmitry Vinkelman with a grant from the Civil Society Assistance Foundation RB.

"It warms one heart when you see a new stylish city object in Ufa. By the way, the first such in Russia. Its a wonderful gift for the birthday of the Human Rights Council of the Republic of Bashkortostan," Kristina Abramicheva posted on her Facebook page.
