Tatarstan President thanked Radiy Khabirov for attention to cultural needs of Tatars
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov for his attention to the spiritual and cultural needs of the Tatars, as well as for strengthening interethnic relations.
A working meeting of the leaders of the two republics took place in Kazan on August 27.
It was also attended by representatives of the state authorities of the two regions. The leaders of the twin republics discussed the prospects for strengthening interregional cooperation in the fields of economy, education, and culture.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Radiy Khabirov for his attention to the development of comprehensive cooperation between the republics.
“Tatarstan and Bashkortostan have developed a true brotherly friendship for a long time. Our peoples are united by a common history, culture, national traditions, a single religion, the similarity of languages, and the similarity of economic interests,” Rustam Minnikhanov stated.
The President of Tatarstan recalled that last year the heads of the regions signed a new agreement on cooperation between the republics and an action plan for its implementation for 2019-2021. Tatarstan enterprises are successfully developing partnerships with colleagues from Bashkortostan.
The President of Tatarstan noted that many Tatars live in Bashkortostan and expressed gratitude to Radiy Khabirov for attention to their cultural and spiritual needs, strengthening of interethnic relations. In turn, all the necessary conditions have been created in Tatarstan for the preservation and development of the spiritual culture of the Bashkirs living here.
The Head of Bashkortostan congratulated the residents of Tatarstan on the 100th anniversary of the formation of the TASSR, noting that the republic had passed an impressive path of development.
“Today Tatarstan is one of the most dynamically developing regions of Russia. Our republics have great opportunities for further cooperation and development of trade and economic cooperation,” said Radiy Khabirov. “The largest oil and gas producing and petrochemical enterprises of Tatarstan are actively working with Bashkir suppliers. The figures indicate an increase in trade turnover, which is about 34 billion rubles. I hope that such meetings will contribute to the further development of mutual trade ”.
Radiy Khabirov thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for supporting the project to erect a monument to the national poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim in Kazan.
He also noted that an important political event awaits Tatarstan in September — the election of the President of the republic.
“I believe that the residents of Tatarstan can really be proud of their leader for his work, which allows Tatarstan to move forward,” the Head of Bashkortostan said.
