Monument to People's Poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim was opened in Kazan
Today in Kazan, in the park named after Mustai Karim, at the intersection of the Orenburgsky tract and Daurskaya streets, the unveiling ceremony of the monument to the Hero of Socialist Labor, People's Poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim took place. The guests of the celebration were the Heads of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan — Rustam Minnikhanov and Radiy Khabirov.
Its author was the chairman of the Union of Artists of the country, People's Artist of Russia, sculptor Andrey Kovalchuk. Today he was awarded the gratitude of the President of Tatarstan, and also received the state award of Bashkortostan — the Order of Friendship of Peoples.
According to Radiy Khabirov, the monument will forever become a symbol of prosperity and forward movement of the two republics for the good of Russia.
Rustam Minnikhanov awarded Radiy Khabirov a medal for the 100th anniversary of the formation of the TASSR for his contribution to strengthening relations between the two republics.
The poet's grandson Timerbulat Karimov said that his grandfather's love for Tatarstan began in childhood when he listened to the poems of Gabdulla Tukai.
