Children Rehabilitation Center received new high-tech equipment
The Republican Rehabilitation Center for Children and Adolescents with Disabilities has received new high-tech equipment for rehabilitation.
In 2013, thanks to the development of robotics in Russia, the "Exoathlet" exoskeleton appeared — an active robotic, programmable, medical device (complex) for restoring walking skills. The main task of the "Exoathlete" is verticalization and walking skills in patients with lower paraparesis, unable to walk independently, accompanied by rehabilitation treatment.
In early August, such an exoskeleton appeared in the Republican Rehabilitation Center due to the support of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the press service of the center reported. The center's specialists were trained to use the specialized system.
The "Exoathlet" feature is that it is fully automated, controlled via the supplied tablet. The instructor supervises the training, set the patient's parameters and the type of training — step on the spot, walking, the length of the stride, the height of the leg raise, the continuity of walking and other parameters.
Rehabilitation of children and adolescents with disabilities using the latest equipment in the center will be possible after the lifting of restrictive measures due to the epidemiological situation in the republic.
